Teavivre, Etc

Just another series of updates. Firstly, my Teavivre sample-order came in.

Teavivre order.

Bai Hao (Taiwan Oriental Beauty) Oolong, Da Hong Pao (Big Red Robe) Wuyi Oolong, Bengqing Dragon Pearl Black (something I’ve been wanting to try for quite a while, but have been unable to find a company that sells it and ships to Canada cheaply–outside of Teavana I think, which I’ve really no interest in ordering from; I’ve tried a smaller rolled tea version in the past), Tie Guan Yin (Iron Goddess) Oolong with Honey, U Fengqing Raw Pu Ehr 2006 cake, Jin Xuan Milk Oolong, and a free sample of Silver Jasmine Needle.

I’ll also probably end up posting reviews of the two teas gifted to me on here, as I don’t know nearly enough about them to list them on Steepster (which HAS a user-created category for unknown teas, but). Already tried the oolong, had one steep of the puehr, but don’t really have any notes on either of them yet.

The oolong was strong and spinachy, if I recall. The puehr subtle. But I’m also coming down with a cold I think, so I probably shouldn’t be relying on my tastebuds.

There’s warnings about the Whooping Cough going around as well. Already had that once.

  1. I really like some of these names…. No, all of them.

  2. I’m rather impressed with Teavivre. I still have a few of their wares to try in my arsenal.
